Today in DeFi - Balancer V2, Premia Flash Exercise, And more...
Balancer V2
Balancer, a generalized AMM DEX, is revamping its design for Balancer V2. Instead of separate liquidity, Balancer v2 will have one giant liqudity vault. Pools will then only contain the unique AMM logic rather than the logic+liquidity.
This revamped design is more gas and capital efficient.
Today in DeFi is sponsored by Aave.
Aave is a decentralised, open-source, and non-custodial liquidity protocol for earning interest on deposits and borrowing assets. It tokenizes deposits as aTokens, which accrue interest in real time. Aave also features access to Flash Loans and Credit Delegation as uncollateralised loan options.

Premia Flash Exercise
Premia, an upcoming options platform, says it will introduce “flash-exercising” of options. Holders of options can use this feature to exercise Premia’s physically settled options without having to hold the underyling asset. This is done by using a flash loan to purchase underlying asset and exercise it, then payback the loan and return the proceeds to the user.
Yearn Funding Passed
Yearn has passed a proposal increasing the YFI supply by minting 6,666 YFI tokens, distributing 1/3 to team members as vested retention, and 2/3 to the treasury.
