DeFi Llama Dashboard
DeFi Llama is a new DeFi TVL Dashboard. Compared to DeFiPulse, DeFi Llama is a bit leaner, mainly focusing on straight TVL statistics. It also seems to onboard projects faster, and shows non-Ethereum Projects, while DeFiPulse only has Ethereum projects for now.
DeFiPulse often takes time to onboard projects, which means the total DeFi TVL often lags reality. DeFiLlamaโs faster project onboarding and support of projects beyond Ethereum means it currently shows $14.85B DeFi TVL, more than $2B more than DeFiPulseโs current $12.7B.
M&A
Molly & Andre, a new fund, has just been announced. Creaed by Andre Cronje and Molly Wintermute of Hegic Options, it aims to fund DeFi development and has access to $3M from the Hegic Development fund.
Unlike traditional VC firms, the fund focuses on execution and working code, rather than pitch decks and networking. If you are a nascent DeFi dev, this may be a great way to get your foot in the DeFi industry. Just make sure you have code working testnet/mainnet before you apply.
Yearn Options
Andre Cronje released a new Medium post explaining the ongoing collaboration between Hegic and Yearn Finance (unrelated to M&A). It seems that options are being built to mitigate Impermanent Loss. This could allow, for instance, new strategies for yearn vaults which take on LP positions.
The product seems to be pretty far along development, but an official launch has not been announced yet.
dHedge Managers
dHedge, a social trading platform, is calling for trade managers to join its platform. Managers create strategies for the platform, which can be invested in by users. Managers can apply in the link above and will be chosen from by a panel of DeFi power users, funds, and other prominent community members. The final decision will then be made by the dHedge DAO.
