Today in DeFi - FTX Uniswap Perps, Aave Fiat On-ramp, Akropolis Beta Launch
FTX Lists Uniswap Perpetuals
FTX exchange has just listed the Uniswap Top 100 Index which is a single index that tracks the “top 100” Uniswap pools.
FTX explains:
“The Uniswap index price is the FTX ETH index multiplied by (the sum of the implied asset price of each of the below pools, each multiplied by the weights at the bottom of this document). "
The list of supported pools includes not just popular DeFi tokens like YFI and MTA, but also farmed tokens of unknown provenance like SHRIMP, and tokens such as XAMP and AMPL which have complex rebase dynamics. This makes this index difficult to analyze and trade.
Aave Gets Fiat On-ramp
DeFi lending protocol Aave’s UK branch Aave Limited has now received Electronic Money Authorization.
Aave explains:
“This EMI license allows Aave to facilitate payments and currency conversions, as well as issue electronic money accounts for consumers and businesses.”
Akropolis Delphi Launch
DeFi is amazing, but it’s also difficult to use so far. Akropolis is aiming to change that. Their latest Delphi beta release makes it easy for anyone to save money and farm yield - a previously complex and technical process.
Just be careful out there- this release is still being audited.
