Today in DeFi - Permissionless Curve Pools, COVER V2, and More...
Permissionless Curve Pools
Andre Cronje hints that permissionless Curve Pools may soon be coming. Just like Uniswap, people may soon be able to create their own Curve Finance pools to trade stable assets.
Besides being good for the community, this would ostensibly also benefit CRV and by extension Yearn Finance, which benefits from CRV yield and Curve trading fees.
Today in DeFi is sponsored by Aave.
Aave is a decentralised, open-source, and non-custodial liquidity protocol for earning interest on deposits and borrowing assets. It tokenizes deposits as aTokens, which accrue interest in real time. Aave also features access to Flash Loans and Credit Delegation as uncollateralised loan options.

COVER V2
Permissionless insurance project COVER Protocol has given a sneak peek of V2.
Perhaps most importantly, as Laserbach points out, they also plan to do extensive testing and audits around this release. A prudent move, given a recent exploit which affected the token price - though not the insurance protocol itself.
Yearn on V2
The yearn ecosystem seems poised to be moving to zk-rollups as a layer two scaling solution. Read more in the Sushiswap roadmap.
